On this Parco delle Madonie towns tour, we'll visit some of the most beautiful towns in Sicilia and enjoy a ricotta tasting on a farm.
Description
We'll pick you up at the agreed meeting point in Cefalu at the specified time to start this route around Parco delle Madonie, one of the largest natural areas in Sicily, to visit its main towns.
The first stop will be in Castelbuono, in the heart of the Madonia mountain range. We will explore its cobbled streets and see the Ventimiglia Castle, a 16th-century fortress.
Next, we will head to Petralia Soprana, recognized as one of the most beautiful towns in Italy. We will walk around its churches, squares, and palaces, followed by a visit to Geraci Siculo, where we can see the remains of the Geraci Castle, strategically located on a hill.
In this town, we will visit a farmer's house to learn about ricotta making, a type of fresh and lumpy cheese famous in Sicily, and we will also taste some ricotta. After this, we will go to a local farm in Polizzi Generosa, located on the southern border of the Parco delle Madonie, where we will have lunch.
After the meal, we will return to Cefalu and drop you off at the meeting point 9 hours after the initial pickup.
