Nasrid Handicrafts Workshop Visit
At a time of your choice, we will meet at Santa Ana street in Cenes de la Vega. There, we will welcome you at the Nasrid handicraft workshop and begin a tour of its facilities to learn about its daily operations.
We will observe how artisans elaborate the sketches for pieces that are later modeled in plaster. These Nasrid art pieces serve as replicas for decorating significant sites such as the Alhambra, Casa de Pilatos, and Real Alcázar in Seville. Often, the original works are transferred to museums for preservation.
This visit will cover the fundamentals of Nasrid art, particularly the role of geometry in their designs. Attendees will see the materials and different techniques used in the craftsmanship involved.
The experience includes a history and art lesson where attendees will witness the making of true masterpieces and learn about the restoration of Cultural Heritage carried out by the workshop.
After an hour and a half, we will conclude the visit with farewells outside the workshop.
