On this day trip to Soroca, we'll visit a 15th-century fort and the Romani quarter.
Description
At 9 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chisinau, followed by a 2-hour bus ride to Soroca.
En route, we'll stop at the Thanksgiving Candle, a 30m (98 ft) monument honoring anonymous heroes who have preserved Moldovan culture and history.
Upon arrival in Soroca, we will visit the 15th-century fort, a significant stronghold during the rule of Stephen the Great, overlooking the Dniester River. After visiting the fort, you will have some time for lunch.
Next, we will explore the Romani quarter, characterized by impressive castle-like mansions, often three stories high and made from marble and granite. This visit will provide insight into the local culture.
On the way back to Chisinau, we will stop at a local brewery in the village of Ghindesti.
Finally, you will be dropped off at your hotel approximately nine hours after pickup.
