On this tour of Chisinau, we'll explore the Moldavian capital and see the largest wine collection in the world at the Mile?tii Mici winery.

Description

At 9 am, we'll pick you up at your hotel to start our guided tour of Chisinau, where we'll see the impressive landmarks of the Moldovan capital city.

We'll commence the tour with a stroll through the historic centre, passing by the Town Hall, the neoclassical Nativity Cathedral, the Triumphal Arch, and the Stephen the Great Monument. You will learn about the architectural phenomenon of communist brutalism, observed in post-war Eastern Europe, featuring imposing and austere structures with mosaic decorations.

After touring Chi?in?u, we will board a bus to Mile?tii Mici Winery, located 17 kilometres (10.5 miles) south of the city, known as the world's largest wine cellar with a collection exceeding one and a half million wine bottles.

We will explore this haven for wine enthusiasts and learn about its history, noting that it was previously a limestone mine.

To conclude, we will enjoy a wine tasting featuring three of Mile?tii Mici's wines alongside a delectable appetizer.

After the tasting, we will return to Chisinau and drop you off at your hotel approximately 5 to 6 hours after pickup.
