Cavernas de Quiocta & Sarcofagos de Karajia Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel at the indicated time and leave Chachapoyas to head northeast to Lamud. We will pass through the villages of Cochechan and Cruz Pata, followed by a 30-minute walk to the Karajia Sarcophagi.

This site houses pre-Incan sculptures containing mummified remains dating back to the 15th century. Their cliffside location has preserved the sarcophagi from harsh weather.

At midday, we'll stop for a lunch in Lamud, consisting of a starter, main course, and drink. After lunch, we will proceed to our next destination.

We will explore the Quiocta Caves, where we will see stalactites and stalagmites and uncover archaeological remains of pre-Incan burial sites and cave paintings from the Chachapoyan civilization.

After a day of exploring the cultural heritage of the Chachapoyas, we will return you to your hotels in Chachapoyas, completing the tour 10.5 hours after pickup.
