Gocta Waterfall Day Trip

After picking you up from your hotel at the indicated time, we will leave Chachapoyas and head north to the town of Cocachimba.

Upon arrival in Cocachimba, we will embark on a 2-hour hike along trails, observing the impressive plants and wildlife of the Peruvian jungle.

We will reach the Gocta Waterfall (known locally as "La Chorrera"), which thunders down from a height of 771 metres. This natural wonder was only discovered in 2002.

On our return to Cocachimba, we will learn about the legends surrounding the waterfall, including stories of mermaids and snakes that protect the region.

To conclude the trip, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant, which includes a starter, main course, and drink. We will return you to your hotel in Chachapoyas, arriving approximately 9 hours after pickup.
