Huancas & Sonche Canyon Day Trip
We'll pick you up at your hotel at the selected time and head to Huancas, less than 10 kilometres north of Chachapoyas.
We'll approach the viewpoint of the Sonche Canyon, where we'll have a view of the Amazon Andes and the geological canyon formed by the Sonche River pass.
In Huancas, we'll discover the techniques of its female potters, whose work is considered a cultural heritage of Peru. You'll learn about the process of making ceramics and the pottery tradition inherited from the Huanca, Chachapoya, Inca, and Hispanic cultures.
On the way back to Chachapoyas, we'll stop at the Luya Urco viewpoint for photographs. After this, we'll visit the Santa Ana Ethno-Historical-Religious Museum, which provides insights into the 16th-century architecture of the area.
Finally, we'll visit the Santa Isabel orchid nursery, located in the southern part of the city. After about 3 hours and 30 minutes, we'll return you to your hotel in Chachapoyas.
