Kuelap Fortress Day Trip

After picking you up from your hotel at the indicated time, we'll leave Chachapoyas and head south to Nuevo Tingo. Upon arrival, we'll take a 20-minute cable car ride to Kuelap, situated at the top of the Amazonian Andes.

We will appreciate the 20-meter high stone walls surrounded by cliffs and the Peruvian Amazonia. Following an uphill walk of about 20 minutes, we'll reach the Kuelap architectural complex.

We will explore circular structures dating back to the 5th century AD, including El Tintero (Inkwell), the Templo Mayor (Main Temple), and the Torreón (Tower). Kuelap is recognized as the largest archaeological monument of pre-Incan civilizations in Peru.

After the exploration, we will have lunch at a local restaurant, where the menu includes soup followed by a main course of chicken, fish, or beef.

At the end of the trip, we'll return via the cable car to Nuevo Tingo. From there, we will drive back to Chachapoyas, arriving at your hotel approximately 9 hours after the pickup.
