Chamarel Waterfalls Tour

We'll meet at 9 am at the entrance of the Chamarel Seven Colour Lands Geopark. This is one of the most captivating natural areas in the southwest of Mauritius.

After a brief introduction, we'll travel by 4x4 to the most scenic spots in Chamarel. We will make several stops at viewpoints to see the Chamarel waterfalls, which are the highest in Mauritius, reaching 100 meters.

From the viewpoints, we'll proceed by 4x4 to a plain where we will begin the trekking route through Chamarel. This hike lasts between 3 to 4 hours and covers a distance of 4 kilometers to the waterfalls, traversing paths at heights between 100 and 300 meters. We will also cross a small stream called Riviere du Camp, which will not cover more than our knees.

At the end of the stream, the Chamarel waterfalls await. You'll have 30 minutes of free time here to swim in the natural pools and explore the caves behind the torrents. Finally, we'll return to the starting point and take the 4x4 back to the Seven Lands of Colours Geopark.

Upon arrival at the Geopark, between 12 pm and 1 pm, you'll have the opportunity to explore it independently, including its distinctive sand dunes with up to seven different shades.
