Perené Valley & Chanchamayo Waterfalls Excursion

We'll pick you up at 9 am at your hotel to embark on an excursion to the Perené Valley. First, we'll make a brief stop at the Kimiri Suspension Bridge, the oldest in the province of Chanchamayo.

Then, we'll cross the Perené Valley and learn about the legend that names the hills of this region. During the trip, we'll see orange groves and stop at the Villa Progreso viewpoint to view the convergence of the Chanchamayo and Paucartambo rivers, which form the Perené riverbed. The water from these rivers originates from the thaw of the Huaytapallana Mountains.

Next, we'll visit an Indigenous Asháninca community to learn about their customs and traditional handicrafts. After this, we will stop in the town of Yurinaki for lunch.

After lunch, we will continue to the famous Bayoz and Velo de la Novia waterfalls, which are over 100 meters high. On the return, we'll visit the Highland Coffee factory to learn about coffee production, as La Merced is known as the coffee capital of Peru.

Finally, after a nine-hour tour, we'll drop you off at your hotel in La Merced.
