Excursion to Perené Valley & Chanchamayo Waterfalls

Your day begins with a 9 am pickup from your hotel, setting the stage for a journey into the Perené Valley. Our first stop will be the Kimiri Suspension Bridge, located just outside La Merced, noted as the oldest bridge in the Chanchamayo province.

As we traverse the Perené Valley, you'll hear the captivating legends that inspired the naming of its hills. The route will offer views of fragrant orange groves, and a visit to the Villa Progreso viewpoint will provide a stunning perspective of where the Chanchamayo and Paucartambo rivers converge to create the Perené riverbed. These waters originate from the melting snows of the Huaytapallana Mountains.

Continuing our exploration, we'll arrive at an Indigenous Asháninca community, where you will immerse yourself in their traditions and admire the craftsmanship of their artisanal works. Our next stop takes us to the town of Yurinaki, where you'll have time to grab lunch at your leisure.

Refreshed, we set out towards the renowned Chanchamayo waterfalls: Bayoz and Velo de la Novia (Bride's Veil), both cascading over 100 meters in height! On our return journey, we will make a brief stop at a Highland Coffee factory to gain insights into the coffee-making process, as La Merced is celebrated as Peru's coffee capital!

After a fulfilling nine-hour adventure, we will return you to your hotel in La Merced.
