Perené Valley & Chanchamayo Waterfalls Excursion

Pick up will be at 9 am at your hotel for an excursion to Perené Valley. The first stop will be at the Kimiri Suspension Bridge, the oldest in the province of Chanchamayo.

The tour will proceed through Perené Valley, where participants will learn about the legend of the hills. Sightseeing includes orange groves and a stop at the Villa Progreso viewpoint for views of the Chanchamayo and Paucartambo rivers, which converge to form the Perené riverbed, fed by the Huaytapallana Mountains.

A visit to an Indigenous Asháninca community will provide insights into their customs and traditional handicrafts. The next destination is the town of Yurinaki, where there will be free time for lunch.

Post-lunch, the excursion continues to the notable Bayoz and Velo de la Novia waterfalls, both over 100 meters high. A brief visit to the Highland Coffee factory will follow to learn about coffee production, as La Merced is recognized as the coffee capital of Peru.

After a nine-hour tour, participants will be dropped off at their hotel in La Merced.
