Visit the provinces of Chanchamayo & Tarma to get to know central Peru in all its splendor on this excursion from La Merced. You'll visit famous sites like the Ducha del Diablo waterfall, the Sanctuary of Muruhay & the Huagapo Cave.

Tarma & Chanchamayo Waterfalls Excursion

We'll pick you up at your hotel in La Merced at 8 am to take a tour around the province of Chanchamayo.

We'll start by visiting the Velo de la Novia de Pan de Azúcar waterfall, followed by the Ducha del Diablo waterfall after passing through La Virgen tunnel.

Next, we'll visit the Yanango and Carpapata viewpoints for views of the highlands and the Peruvian jungle.

We will then go to Acobamba in the province of Tarma to visit the National Sanctuary of Muruhuay, dedicated to the Lord of Muruhuay.

From there, we'll explore the Huagapo Cave, one of the deepest in South America, known for its stalactite and stalagmite formations.

After this, we will return to Muruhay for lunch. We’ll then head to the city of Tarma, where we will take a guided tour of its colonial streets, including the Plaza de Armas and the Odria Museum.

After the tour of Tarma, we will return to La Merced and drop you off at your hotel after a nine-hour excursion.
