Rock Garden and Sukhna Lake Tour

Meet at the gates of Rock Garden at the selected start time to begin the tour. You will see thousands of sculptures made with recycled materials. In 1960, a local artist initiated this project by cleaning a small forest and creating art from collected glass and plastic.

The work of Nek Chand includes paths, waterfalls, and sculptures, becoming a symbol for the city, attracting over 5000 visitors daily.

After Rock Garden, we will explore Nagar Van forest park, also known as City Forest. This ideal hiking location features numerous trails, a bridge, and a hidden cabin. Here, you will hear the sounds of more than 20 bird species inhabiting the area.

Next, we visit the Lake Sukhna reservoir, created in 1958 by damming a stream from the Sivalik Hills at the foot of the Himalayas. This area serves as a popular recreational spot for Chandigarh residents.

The tour concludes on the shores of Lake Sukhna after approximately 2 hours of exploring these beautiful parklands.
