Heraklion & Knossos Palace Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chania at 6:30 am and set off for the Palace of Knossos, located 5 kilometres from Heraklion. We will stop for a 20-minute breakfast break en route.

After a two-hour drive, we’ll arrive at the Palace of Knossos, an important monument in Crete. A guided tour will cover the archaeological complex and the well-preserved rooms of the Minoan civilization.

As we explore, we’ll discuss facts and myths related to this site, including the legend of King Minos and stories like the Labyrinth and Daedalus and Icarus, offering insights into Classical Greece.

After the tour, we will go to Heraklion. You will have three hours of free time to explore at your leisure. Options include visiting the harbour, enjoying lunch, and exploring the Archaeological Museum, known for its extensive collection of Minoan art.

The museum contains notable pieces such as the sarcophagus of Agia Triada, and the frescos of the Minotaur and the Prince of the Lilies.

At 3:30 pm, we will depart from Heraklion and return to Chania, with a coffee break included, before dropping you off at your hotel between 6 pm and 6:30 pm.
