Make the most of your time in Crete delving into Greek myths and legends on this guided tour of Heraklion and the Palace of Knossos. The perfect trip for fans of ancient history!

Heraklion & Knossos Palace Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chania starting at 6:30 am. From there, we'll head to the Palace of Knossos, located 5 kilometres from Heraklion, with a stop for a 20-minute energizing breakfast.

After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive at the Palace of Knossos, an essential monument in Crete. A guided tour of the archaeological complex will highlight the well-preserved rooms of the Minoan civilization.

As we explore the ruins, we will discuss the historical significance and related myths, including the legends of King Minos, the Labyrinth, and Daedalus and Icarus.

Post-tour, we will proceed to Heraklion, where you will have three hours of free time to explore the capital. You can stroll around the harbour, enjoy lunch, and visit the Archaeological Museum, known for having the best collection of Minoan art worldwide.

In the museum, you will find pieces such as the sarcophagus of Agia Triada and the frescoes of the Minotaur and the Prince of the Lilies.

At 3:30 pm, we will leave Heraklion and return to Chania, with a coffee break en route, returning you to your hotel between 6 pm and 6:30 pm.
