Heraklion & Knossos Palace Tour

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chania from 6:30 am. From there, we'll set off for the Palace of Knossos, located 5 kilometres from Heraklion. On the way, we'll stop for 20 minutes for breakfast.

After a two-hour drive, we'll arrive at the Palace of Knossos. We'll start a guided tour of the archaeological complex to visit the rooms of the best preserved palace of the Minoan civilization.

As we explore the ruins, we'll reveal the facts and myths related to this historical site, including the legend that the Palace of Knossos was the seat of King Minos. We'll also discuss stories like the myth of the Labyrinth and the myth of Daedalus and Icarus.

After the guided tour, we'll make our way to Heraklion. You'll have three hours of free time to explore the capital of Crete. You can stroll around the harbour, enjoy a typical lunch, walk through its streets, and visit the Archaeological Museum, which has the best collection of Minoan art in the world.

In the museum, you'll find unique pieces like the sarcophagus of Agia Triada, the fresco of the Minotaur, and the fresco of the Prince of the Lilies.

At 3:30 pm, we'll leave Heraklion and head back to Chania. On the way, we'll stop for a coffee break, before dropping you at your hotel between 6 pm and 6:30 pm.
