Hiking in Imbros Gorge
Starting at 8:30 am, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Chania and set off to the Imbros Gorge.
After an hour's drive, we'll arrive and have 20 minutes for coffee. At 10:40 am, we'll start the route along ancient rocky paths while sharing facts about the area's history, including battles between Ottomans and Christians.
We'll hike through the Imbros Gorge towards Komitades. Halfway, we will reach the narrowest point of the gorge, where the walls are less than 2 metres apart and rise over 300 metres!
After a three-hour trek, we'll arrive in Komitades and board the bus to Frangokastello, a Venetian fortress, and Chora Sfakion, a village on the south coast. You will have two hours of free time for swimming and lunch in a taverna, ideal for relaxing post-hike.
After the free time, we will return to Chania, with a scheduled arrival of 6:30 pm.
