At the indicated time, we'll meet across from the Harbor View Inn at Waterfront Park and start the walking tour. The tour will begin at Waterfront Park and proceed south towards The Battery. We’ll discuss the history of the early fort of Charles Towne while enjoying the sights.

We will spend time at White Point Gardens, relaxing under 300-year-old oak trees and exploring the area's vibrant history, from the early fort to its current status as a bustling city.

As we stroll up Meeting Street, we’ll pass mansions and learn about the historical significance of various locations, including old slave markets, grand churches, historic theatres, and the balcony where George Washington addressed the people of Charleston 227 years ago.

Along the route, we’ll see window boxes, antebellum homes, and notable buildings tied to significant historical events. Highlights include the original defensive wall of Charleston, the famous Pineapple Fountain, and the site of a large British fort from the Revolutionary War.

The tour will conclude back near Waterfront Park after a total duration of 2.5 hours.
