Historic Rosedale House Guided Tour
Meet us at the Historic Rosedale at the scheduled time as we set off on a guided tour through the grounds of this historic 1815 Federal-style home.
We will learn the history behind this former private residence, owned by the same family for five generations. After renovations in 1993, the site opened to the public, allowing visitors to explore the house and 9 acres of gardens.
Throughout the tour, we'll discuss facts about the house and the surrounding area. We will enter the 15-room estate to uncover insights into the historic Antebellum period in the United States, focusing on architectural and decorative motifs as well as details left by the generations that lived here.
Next, we will move into the gardens area, with well-manicured greenery. You can explore the grounds at your own pace, viewing boxwood plants from 1815 and rose bushes that have thrived since the 1950s, when originally planted.
After fully immersing ourselves in the tranquil atmosphere at Rosedale, we will end the tour 1 hour later.
