Visit Chaumont-sur-Loire Castle
Located along the Loire River, between Amboise and Blois, the Chaumont-sur-Loire Castle is a notable Renaissance palace that was acquired by Catherine de Medici in 1550. After obtaining your ticket, you can explore the grounds freely, including the bedroom of Queen Catherine de Medici and the chambers of her astrologer, Cosimo Ruggeri.
Visit the Council Chamber to see the Tapestry of the Planets and the Days, the Staircase of Honor, chapel, and Guard Room. The private apartments include a dining room, library, living rooms, and a billiard room.
Your ticket also includes access to the Domaine de Chaumont-sur-Loire, where you can explore the stables, visit the farm, and enjoy the gardens. The area features Le Bois des Chambres hotel, located 984 feet (300 meters) from the entrance.

The Chaumont-sur-Loire Castle is open Monday through Sunday:
From 1 to 30 September 2024: 10 am to 7:30 pm (castle until 7 pm; last access at 6:30 pm).From October 1 to October 26, 2024: 10 am to 7 pm (last access at 6:15 pm).From October 27 to November 3, 2024: 10 am to 6:00 pm (last access at 5:15 pm).From November 4, 2024, to January 31, 2025: 10 am to 5:30 pm (last access at 5 pm).
Jardins International Festival
From April 19 to November 2, 2025, visit the Jardins International Festival themed The Imaginary in the Art of Gardens, inspired by tales from One Thousand and One Nights, Anderson, and Perrault.
