When booking, you can choose between two different options. Both include pickup at your hotel in Chaves at 9 am, an English-speaking guide, and a return transfer. Below are the particulars of each option:

Tour of Chaves, Boticas, and Montalegre

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chaves to start this tour of the Trás-os-Montes region. We'll travel to Alto Tâmega to visit some of its most notable villages.

The first stop will be Montalegre, featuring a 13th-century castle. We will explore this building and visit the Montalegre Ecomuseum to learn about the town's history and heritage.

Next, we will visit Boticas, showcasing picturesque stone houses. At the Rurla Museum, we will see old agricultural tools and ethnographic objects, followed by one hour of free time for lunch and to taste Portuguese gastronomy.

Afterward, we will proceed to Chaves to view its medieval fortress and the Roman bridge of Trajano, before returning you to your hotels. The tour concludes at 5 pm.

Tour of Chaves, Valpaços, and Vila Pouca de Aguiar

This option begins with a visit to Chaves, similar to the previous tour. Then, we will head to Vila Pouca de Aguiar to explore the Parque de Pedras Salgadas, a forest of natural beauty.

We will continue to Valpaços, where we will visit the Wine Museum to learn about the local wine tradition. The tour will end at your hotel at 5 pm.
