Discover one of the regions in the northeast of Portugal on this tour of Trás-os-Montes from Chaves, visiting villages such as Montalegre and Boticas.

Description

When booking, you can choose between two options. Both include pickup at your hotel in Chaves at 9 am, an English-speaking guide, and return transfer. Below are the specifics of each option:

Tour of Chaves, Boticas, and Montealegre

The tour starts with pickup from your hotel in Chaves. We will visit Alto Tâmega, one of the regions of Trás-os-Montes, exploring its villages.

The first stop will be Montalegre, which features a castle from the 13th century. We'll visit the Montalegre Ecomuseum to learn about the town's history and heritage.

Next is Boticas, a village in Alto Tâmega with stone houses. We'll visit its Rural Museum, displaying old agricultural tools and ethnographic objects. You will have one hour of free time in Boticas for lunch and to enjoy Portuguese gastronomy.

Afterward, the tour continues in Chaves to see the medieval fortress, the Roman bridge of Trajano, and the thermal baths. The tour concludes at 5 pm back at your hotel.

Tour of Chaves, Valpaços, and Vila Pouca de Aguiar

This option begins with a visit to Chaves before heading to Vila Pouca de Aguiar, where you'll visit Parque de Pedras Salgadas, a scenic forest.

Next, the tour goes to Valpaços, where we will visit the Wine Museum to learn about local wine traditions. The tour will also end at 5 pm at your hotel.
