Akchour Waterfalls Hike

Let the verdant landscapes of Morocco's Talassemtane National Park captivate you on this excursion to the spectacular Akchour Waterfalls from Chefchaouen.

Description

Take a break from the heat of the city and escape into Morocco's lush natural landscapes, enjoying a dip in the famous Akchour Waterfalls. At the time indicated on the day of your excursion, pickup from your hotel will occur to catch a taxi. After a 35-minute drive, we will reach Akchour, a small village in the Rif Mountains.

Upon arrival, we will set off on a hiking trail through Talassemtane. Our two-hour trek will lead us to the Akchour Waterfalls. We will take a moment to appreciate the sound of water crashing into the natural pools below before enjoying a refreshing dip in the cool waters and lunch with a view beside the waterfalls. Participants should bring a picnic or can choose to have a tajine from local food stalls.

After lunch, we will embark on a new hiking route to one of the entrances of Talassemtane National Park, followed by a taxi ride back to Chefchaouen. The total duration of the excursion is 7 hours.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from accommodations in the centre of Chefchaouen. If your location is outside this area, pickup will be at Hotel Madrid.

Itinerary changes

During certain seasons, reduced water flow may affect waterfall viewing. In such cases, you may choose to visit the waterfalls or opt for a combo trip that includes the smaller waterfalls and God's Bridge.

Who can participate in this activity?

The minimum age for this tour is 15 years old.A good level of physical fitness is required.This tour is not suitable for individuals with heart or back problems or pregnant women.
