Akchour Waterfalls Hike

Let the verdant landscapes of Morocco's Talassemtane National Park captivate you on this excursion to the spectacular Akchour Waterfalls from Chefchaouen.

Description

Take a break from the city heat and escape into Morocco's natural landscapes. Our excursion begins with a hotel pickup at the specified time, followed by a 35-minute taxi drive to Akchour, a village in the Rif Mountains. We will then embark on a two-hour hiking trail through Talassemtane to reach the breathtaking Akchour Waterfalls.

Upon arrival at the waterfalls, you will have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshing dip in the natural pools. Lunch can be enjoyed with a view beside the waterfalls; bring a picnic or purchase a tajine from nearby food stalls. After lunch, we'll take a different hiking route to one of the entrances of Talassemtane National Park before returning to Chefchaouen via taxi. The total duration of the trip is approximately 7 hours.

Pickup

This activity includes pickup from accommodation in the centre of Chefchaouen. For those not staying in this area, the pickup will occur from Hotel Madrid.

Itinerary changes

Water flow at the waterfalls may vary seasonally. If reduced, we offer two options: visit the waterfalls or a combo trip to both the smaller waterfalls and God's Bridge.

Who can participate in this activity?

The minimum age for this tour is 15 years old.A good level of physical fitness is required.This tour is not suitable for individuals with heart or back problems or for pregnant women.
