On this guided walking tour of Chefchaouen, we'll visit the historic centre of this city, also known as the blue city of Morocco.
Tour Details
We'll begin our tour by foot at a central location in the city at the designated time. Our first stop will be the Spanish neighbourhood in Chefchaouen, where we will learn about the links between Spain and Morocco.
Next, we will explore the ancient medina of Chefchaouen, focusing on the Grand Mosque and Plaza Utta-el-Hamman where the Kasbah or Alcazaba is located, dating back to the 15th century and built in 1471 by Rachid Ben Ali.
We will then proceed to view the old city wall gates: Bab Ell Ain, Bab Souk, and Bab Onsar. During our walk, we will observe Chefchaouen's famous blue houses and learn about the significance of the indigo color.
After 2 hours, we will conclude this tour of Chefchaouen. Until next time!
