Chefchaouen to Akchour: Private 2 or 4 Day Hike

Hike Details

Day 1: Chefchaouen – Azilane

Meet at the Hotel Madrid in Chefchaouen to start the trek. The hike lasts around seven hours, with stops along the way. The first section is a three-hour trek through Talassemtane National Park, where you can enjoy a picnic. After lunch, continue for four hours to the small village of Afeska, ending the day in Azilane with dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 2: Azilane – Akchour – Chefchaouen

After breakfast, trek for five hours to the God's Bridge in Talassemtane National Park, then visit the Akchour Waterfalls. Enjoy a picnic lunch before concluding the hike at 5:15 pm in Akchour. A taxi ride back to Chefchaouen takes 45 minutes and costs around 18 USD (22 Euros) for up to four people.

4-Day Route

The same itinerary is followed for Day 1. On the second day, hike from Azilane to Taourarte, an 8-hour trek through the Rif mountains, ending with dinner and overnight stay in a rural lodge.

On the third day, hike from Taourarte to Akchour, another 8-hour trek with three stages. The hike includes a visit to the Akchour waterfalls and a stay in a mountain lodge with dinner included.

On the fourth day, trek from Akchour to Chefchaouen, a 6-hour trek in two segments. After a picnic, return to Chefchaouen for a guided tour, concluding at 6 pm.
