Let yourself be enchanted by Morocco's Blue City on this private guided tour of Chefchaouen, one of the most beautiful destinations in the Rif Mountains.
Private Guided Tour of Chefchaouen
Indigo, cobalt, azure, sapphire, turquoise... whichever synonym you prefer, one single colour stands out in Chefchaouen: blue. Ready to discover why? At your preferred time, meet your guide in front of Hotel Madrid, where our walking tour of the city's picturesque historic centre will begin.
First, we'll walk through the Spanish Quarter of Chefchaouen, learning about the links between Spain and Morocco throughout history. Your English-speaking guide will reveal all about the city's past as you admire its spectacular architecture.
We'll continue our private tour visiting the old Medina. Wandering through the winding, cobbled streets of the historic centre, you'll be captivated by the façades of the Place Outa Hammam, an imposing 14th-century fortress, or Kasbah, and the Great Mosque. We'll also stop to see the old gates in the city wall: Bab El Ain, Bab Souk and Bab Onsar. Passing between the old entrances, we'll see the iconic blue houses of Chefchaouen.
At the end of your two-and-a-half-hour walking tour, we'll make our way back to Place Mohammed V. Alternatively, we can finish the tour by the souk or elsewhere in the old town.
