Discover the main attractions of the City of Pandas on this guided tour of Chengdu. An English-speaking guide will reveal all of the city's secrets to you!

Description

We'll meet at Tianfu Square, in the center of Chengdu, at the scheduled time. Once we are together, we'll begin our guided tour, during which we'll discover the biggest attractions in the City of Pandas.

We will start by exploring Tianfu Square, noting notable monuments such as the white sculpture of Mao Tse Tung and the dragon-shaped fountains. Here, we will recount the history of Chengdu, which dates back more than 4000 years.

Next, we will walk to the Chengdu Museum, the largest museum in the city, where our tour will cover the period from prehistoric times to the establishment of the People's Republic of China in the 1940s.

After this, we will visit Chengdu People's Park, a former air raid shelter from the Second World War, observing locals engaging in dances and visiting the famous blind date corner.

We will then explore the iconic long and narrow alleyways of Chengdu, where we will see the city's oldest buildings, including those from the Qing dynasty and Western style.

The tour concludes at a café in the area for some typical tea, wrapping up after a total of 3 hours of walking.
