Leshan Giant Buddha & Chengdu Panda Base

Visit the Leshan Giant Buddha and the Chengdu Panda Base in one day. The tour begins with a pickup from your hotel in Chengdu at the designated time, followed by a 30-minute trip to the Chengdu Panda Base.

At the Panda Base, spend around 2 hours exploring various areas to observe young and adult pandas. Learn about their weight and status as an endangered species. Watch the pandas play, sleep, and eat bamboo.

Next, a 2-hour drive takes you to the Leshan Giant Buddha. You can opt for a boat ride for a view of the statue or take a hike to its highest point. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features a 232-foot (71-meter) sculpture created in the 8th century to aid river navigation. Discover if the Buddha achieved its purpose while also viewing tombs, temples, and other stone carvings.

The tour concludes with a visit to a local restaurant for lunch, if desired, before returning to Chengdu and dropping you off at your hotel, completing this 10-hour day trip.
