We will pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu at the designated time and travel to the Chengdu Panda Base, a 30-minute trip.

Upon arrival, we will spend about 2 hours exploring the reserve, observing young and adult pandas and learning about their characteristics and conservation status, including their weight and reasons for being an endangered species.

Next, we will return to the bus for a 2-hour drive to the Leshan Giant Buddha. You can either take a boat ride for a panoramic view of the statue or hike to the highest point for a closer look. The choice is yours.

Admiring the 232-foot (71-meter) sculpture is impressive from every angle. A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Leshan Giant Buddha was constructed in the 8th century to control river flow due to the turbulent confluence of three rivers. The tour includes views of tombs, temples, and other stone carvings.

We will conclude with a meal at a local restaurant, offering a typical lunch if desired. Afterward, we will return to Chengdu to drop you off at your hotel, completing this 10-hour day trip.
