Leshan Giant Buddha & Chengdu Panda Base

We'll pick you up from your hotel in Chengdu and head to the Chengdu Panda Base on a 30-minute trip. Upon arrival, we will spend approximately 2 hours exploring the reserve, observing young and adult pandas and learning facts about these animals.

After visiting the panda base, we will return to the bus for a 2-hour drive to the Leshan Giant Buddha. You can choose to take a boat ride for a view of the statue or opt for a hike to the highest point for a closer look. This 232-foot (71-meter) sculpture is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, built in the 8th century to control river flow at the confluence of three rivers. The day trip will include observing various tombs, temples, and stone carvings.

The day will conclude at a local restaurant where you may enjoy a typical lunch if desired. Afterward, we will return to Chengdu and drop you off at your hotel, completing this 10-hour trip.
