Pickup will be from your hotel in Chengdu at the designated time to head to the Chengdu Panda Base, approximately a 30-minute drive.

Upon arrival, you'll spend about 2 hours exploring the reserve, observing young and adult pandas, and learning about their characteristics and endangered status. Enjoy watching the pandas interact, sleep, and eat bamboo.

Next, a 2-hour bus ride will take you to the Leshan Giant Buddha. You can choose to take a boat ride for a view of the statue or hike to the highest point for a closer look. The 232-foot (71-meter) sculpture, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was built in the 8th century as a river barrier. During this trip, you'll learn about the Buddha's purpose and see additional stone carvings, including tombs and temples.

The tour concludes at a local restaurant for lunch if desired, followed by the return trip to Chengdu, where you will be dropped off at your hotel, completing this 10-hour day trip.
