Discover the spectacular mountain landscapes of northern Thailand trekking in Chiang Rai. Spend two or three days exploring rice paddies, tea plantations and pretty rural villages.
Chiang Rai Trekking
Day 1
The adventure begins at 10 am with a pickup from your hotel in Chiang Rai. We will travel to the banks of the Kok River to board a traditional longtail boat for a one-hour cruise. Once on land, we will meet members of the Karen hill tribe and enjoy lunch in a local restaurant. Following lunch, we'll embark on a trek through rice paddies and bamboo forests to a viewpoint for scenic views. Our hike continues to the village of Yafu, where we will have dinner and spend the night in a bamboo cabin.
Day 2
After breakfast, we will trek for two hours to another hill tribe village. Our guide will prepare a lunch cooked with bamboo using a traditional method. Afterward, we will visit nearby hot springs to relax. We will complete the two-day hike before returning to hotels in Chiang Rai.
3 Day Trek
During booking, you can choose between a two-day or a three-day trek around Chiang Rai. The three-day trek includes a visit to the Huay Mae Sai Waterfalls and interaction with the Akha hill tribe. The second night will be in tents near Yafu village. On the third day, we will hike to the Karen village and conclude with a visit to the hot springs. You will be returned to Chiang Rai at 3 pm on the third day.
Accommodation
The two-day trek includes one night in a bamboo cabin with the Lahu hill tribe. The three-day tour includes a night in tents on the second night.
