Cruising down the Chicago River is an excellent way to explore the Windy City and understand its evolution as the birthplace of the skyscraper.

Tour Details

The tour begins along Wacker Drive, where we will board a boat to cruise the Chicago River. The journey kicks off from the main branch, heading towards the East Bank Club. Expect to see prominent buildings such as the Willis Tower, John Hancock Center, and Wrigley Building.

While on board, participants will receive insights into the history, architecture, and engineering that have established Chicago as a leader in skyscraper construction and modern architecture. The city evolved from a small settlement to a significant metropolis in under a century. Additionally, the tour will explain the engineering marvel of reversing the river's flow, resulting in the river now flowing backwards.

After approximately 1.5 hours on the river, the cruise will conclude, returning us to the starting location.
