Cruising down the Chicago River is an excellent way to explore the Windy City and learn about its skyscraper heritage.
Tour Details
We will meet along Wacker Drive and board a boat for a journey along the Chicago River, offering a unique view of the city.
Setting sail from the main branch of the Chicago River, we will reach the East Bank Club. Key buildings such as the Willis Tower, John Hancock Center, and Wrigley Building will be visible during the cruise.
While on board, participants will learn about the history, architecture, and engineering that established Chicago as a leader in skyscraper construction and modern American architecture. The city transformed from a small settlement to a major metropolis in less than a century. An important highlight will be the engineering feat that reversed the river's water flow, which now flows backwards.
The cruise lasts approximately 1.5 hours, after which we will return to the starting point, concluding the tour.
