Chicago Theatre Tour
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Chicago Theatre and start this guided tour of the most famous theater in Chicago and one of the most significant in the United States.
The Chicago Theatre was inaugurated in 1921, featuring an elegant style inspired by the Royal Chapel of Versailles. It has a capacity for 3,600 people.
The theater experienced four decades of splendour until the late 1970s when economic challenges led it to become a decadent cinema. In 1986, it was saved from demolition and reopened with a concert by Frank Sinatra.
Since then, artists such as Alicia Keys, Dolly Parton, Prince, Oasis, and Van Morrison have performed at the Theatre.
During the Chicago Theatre tour, a professional guide will explain its history while we explore the elegant main hall, luxurious staircase, and other areas. You'll experience the size and acoustics of the auditorium.
We'll also visit the Theatre's dressing rooms and stand on the same stage that has hosted performers like Frank Sinatra and Dean Martin.
Temporary Closure
At times, some areas of the Chicago Theatre may be restricted during the tour due to the shows that take place there.
