Chicago Theatre Tour

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the entrance of the Chicago Theatre to start this guided tour of the most famous theater in Chicago and one of the most significant in the United States.

The Chicago Theatre was inaugurated in 1921 with an elegant style. The impressive hall was inspired by the Royal Chapel of Versailles, featuring seven floors and a capacity for 3,600 people.

The theater experienced four decades of splendour until the late 1970s, when the city's economic and social situation led it to become a decadent cinema. In 1986, it was saved from demolition and reopened with a concert by Frank Sinatra.

Artists including Alicia Keys, Dolly Parton, Prince, Oasis, and Van Morrison have performed at the Theatre.

During the Chicago Theatre tour, we'll learn about its history from a professional guide. The tour includes walking through the elegant main hall, climbing the luxurious staircase, and more. You'll be surprised by the size and acoustics of the auditorium. We will also visit the Theatre's dressing rooms and stand on the stage where legends like Frank Sinatra performed.

Temporary Closure

At times, some areas of the Chicago Theatre may be restricted during the tour due to the shows that take place there.
