Cuauhtemoc Mennonite Fields Tour
Pick-up from your hotel in Chihuahua will be at 9 am for our departure to Cuauhtemoc, the third-largest city in the state.
Upon arrival, we will head to the outskirts of Cuauhtemoc to visit the vast fields, integral to the livelihood of the Mennonites, who are part of the Anabaptist Christian movement. Their way of life is based on the doctrines of Menno Simons, a prominent theologian in Anabaptism.
During our visit, we will explore daily life and society among Mexican Mennonites by touring the Mennonite Museum, which provides insights into this community. Distinguishing traits include their refusal to use technology and their language, which is derived from Old German.
After the museum visit, we will partake in a cheese and sausage tasting made by the Mennonites, produced using traditional techniques and natural ingredients.
Finally, we will return to your hotel in Chihuahua, arriving at 2 pm.
