Paquimé & Mata Ortiz Day Trip

At the scheduled time, we will meet you at your hotel in Chihuahua and depart for Casas Grandes. On the outskirts, we will visit the Paquimé Archaeological Site, which contains significant pre-Hispanic remains.

Upon arrival at Paquimé, we will take a guided tour of the Museum of Northern Cultures, showcasing pre-Hispanic artifacts from northern Mexico, providing insight into the culture of the period.

Following the museum, we will explore the archaeological remains of the Paquimé culture. This designated World Heritage Site allows us to learn about the customs and traditions of this ancient culture through the examination of their structures.

Afterward, we will travel to Mata Ortiz, known for its handmade pottery crafted to replicate the artistic objects from the Paquimé site. We will observe a pottery demonstration to see how master craftsmen shape the clay.
