Mallín Grande is an ideal starting point to explore the Chilean Patagonia, where you'll ride along the beautiful landscapes of the General Carrera Lake. On this horseback ride you'll feel in full contact with nature.

Horseback Riding in Mallín Grande

We'll start the horse ride from an equestrian centre in Mallín Grande, located next to the CH-265 road, where we'll meet at the time of your choice.

The centre's instructors will give a brief 20-minute talk to teach you how to ride safely and comfortably. No previous riding experience is required, so you can start from scratch. After this initial training, we'll begin the horseback ride.

The low difficulty equestrian route will last three hours and will traverse the surroundings of Mallín Grande, following the paths of old muleteers through coigües forests.

During the ride, we will proceed along the shores of General Carrera Lake, the largest lake in Chile. We will stop at various viewpoints to appreciate the extent of this Patagonian lake.

One of the breaks will include a snack featuring a cereal bar, nuts, and juice or mineral water. After this refreshment, we will continue riding through more scenic areas along the lake's shores.

Finally, we will conclude the tour by returning to the starting point.
