Day Trip to Conchagua Volcano

Day Trip Details

After pickup from your hotel, we'll head to La Union. Upon arrival, we’ll change vehicles and board an offroading vehicle to reach the Conchagua Volcano. During this uphill journey, you will see landscapes including Cerro Ocotal and Cerro Banderas. At the top, we’ll visit the platform of the Espiritu de la Montaña lookout for an impressive view of the Gulf of Fonseca, leading to the Pacific Ocean and surrounded by the archipelago, as well as views of Honduras and Nicaragua.

After enjoying the scenery, you can purchase a traditional snack at a local food store at the summit. We will then take a short hike to explore the local fauna and appreciate nature.

We will begin our descent on the offroading vehicle back to La Union. After switching vehicles, we will return to El Cuco and Las Flores. After 8 hours, we will conclude the tour and drop you off at your hotel.
