On this day trip from Chivay, we'll visit the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve and Puno.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Chivay, then head south. Our first stop will be at the Andean viewpoint of Pata Pampa for views of the volcanic mountain range. Afterward, we will continue to the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, known for its captivating landscapes. In this protected area, we will see populations of llamas, vicuñas, alpacas, and other native Andean animals. We will also learn about the unique environmental features of this region. The route continues to Patahuasi, where guests can drink an Inca mate to help with altitude sickness.

During the stop in Patahuasi, we'll observe the Misti and Chachani volcanoes before heading to Lake Lagunillas to look for flamingos and Andean gulls. The tour lasts approximately 6 hours, concluding at the Plaza de Armas of Puno.
