Day Trip to the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve + Puno

On this day trip from Chivay, we'll visit the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve? and Puno.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Chivay and head south. The first stop will be at the Andean viewpoint of Pata Pampa for views of the volcanic mountain range. We'll continue to the Salinas y Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we will see populations of llamas, vicuñas, alpacas, and other native animals. We'll also learn about the environmental features of the area.

The route continues to Patahuasi, where participants may drink Inca mate to combat altitude sickness. At this stop, we will observe the Misti and Chachani volcanoes from afar. Afterward, we will go to Lake Lagunillas to spot flamingos and Andean gulls.

After 6 hours of sightseeing, we will conclude the tour at the Plaza de Armas of Puno.
