Enter the wildest area of the Tepuhueico Park on this hiking tour, where we'll explore the forest's flora and fauna on Isla Grande de Chiloé.
Options
When making your booking, you'll be able to choose between the following options:
3-kilometre (1.8-mile) Hike: 1.5 - 2 hours
On this hike, we'll tour the outskirts of the Tepuhueico Lodge until we reach the lake of the same name and the source of the Bravo River. Along the way, we will pass a 10-metre (32-foot) high waterfall and view the river with its caramel-coloured waters, which flows towards the habitat of the huillín, a Southern River Otter. We'll arrive at the Waterfall viewpoint and visit Mañíos Square, where trees date back more than 600 years and stand 30 metres (98 feet) tall.
7-kilometre (4.3-mile) Hike: 4 - 5 hours
This route includes a visit to the Arrayanes Cathedral, surrounded by a dense myrtle tree forest. Some trees can reach up to 25 metres (82 feet). We will visit the banks of the Bravo River, traversing a forest filled with mosses, lichens, shrubs, and centuries-old trees. This option also includes a short stop at Mañíos Square and concludes at the Waterfall viewpoint, where you can enjoy the sound of flowing water at this spot within Tepuhueico Park.
