Why visit Tepuhueico Park?
Located in the heart of the Grande de Chiloé Island, Tepuhueico Park is a significant native Chilean forest focused on the conservation of flora, fauna, and wild mushrooms. This 20,000-hectare (49,421-acre) area is ideal for nature enthusiasts.
With your ticket, you can hike in two sections: the forest area and the coastal area, featuring trails over 10 kilometres (6.2 miles). Along these trails, you can explore dense forests and the Bravo River, admiring waterfalls, cliffs, and dunes.
The park hosts a wide variety of wildlife, including numerous birds such as the kingfisher, chucao, and royal woodpecker, as well as the Chiloé fox, pudu, and marine life like dolphins and whales along the coast.
