Hiking in Yanachaga Chemillén National Park

Pickup is at 8:30 am at your hotel in Oxapampa. We will travel to the Yanachaga Chemillén National Park, a vital conservation area in the Amazon basin.

After a 25-minute drive, we will begin our hike, enjoying the park's natural landscapes. This area is noted for being one of the most biologically rich regions in the world.

The hike traverses ecosystems typical of the Central Peruvian rainforest, including cloud forests and yungas parks. Our first stop will be at the El Cedro refuge for an informative discussion about the route.

We will then continue along the trail, observing various birds, mammals, and native plants.

The endpoint will be Abra La Esperanza, where we will take in the views of the Yanachaga Chemillén landscapes before retracing our steps to the starting point.

A vehicle will be waiting to return us to Oxapampa, with an estimated drop-off at your hotel around 2:30 pm.
