Pozuzo Tour
At 6:30 am, hotel pick-up in Oxapampa marks the start of this tour through the province, visiting iconic locations.
Traveling for two hours through the Oxapampa countryside, we will reach Huancabamba. There, we will explore the streets and parks before continuing our journey.
We will pass the Rayantambo, Torrebamba, and Yulitunqui waterfalls and border the Yanachanga Chemillen National Park. Our destination is Pozuzo, the first Austro-German colony in Peru, founded in 1859.
The tour includes the main square, the Colonists' cemetery, the church of San José, and the Emperor Wilhelm I bridge to observe Germanic architectural influence.
A short 15-minute walk will lead us to a lookout point for a panoramic view of the city. Afterwards, we will visit the Dörcher Bier brewery for a beer tasting.
After a break for lunch on your own and a taste of the local cuisine, we will explore Pozuzo's architectural designs before returning to Oxapampa, stopping at the natural pools of Guacamayo.
Arrival at your hotel is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
