Pozuzo Tour

At 6:30 am, pickup will be at your hotel in Oxapampa to begin the tour. Enjoy a two-hour road trip through the Oxapampa countryside to Huancabamba, where you will stop to visit local streets and parks.

On the way, see Rayantambo, Torrebamba and Yulitunqui waterfalls, and skirt the Yanachanga Chemillen National Park. Arrive in Pozuzo, the first Austro-German colony in Peru, founded in 1859.

Tour highlights include the main square, the Colonists' cemetery, the church of San José, and the Emperor Wilhelm I bridge. Notice the Germanic architecture throughout the town.

Next, there will be a 15-minute walk to a lookout point for city views, followed by a visit to the Dörcher Bier brewery for a beer tasting.

After a break for lunch on your own, continue exploring Pozuzo's architectural designs before returning to Oxapampa, stopping at the natural pools of Guacamayo.

Return to your hotel is scheduled for 4:30 pm.
