Go on an adventure in the jungle and walk along hanging bridges and water basins on our Gloriapata Day Trip. We'll see a spectacular 82-foot high waterfall!

  • 6 hours

Discover the lush landscapes of the jungle as you traverse swinging bridges and scenic water pools on this day trip to Gloriapata from Tingo María. This experience includes a visit to an impressive waterfall measuring 25 meters in height.

Gloriapata Day Trip

Our journey begins at 8 am when you will be collected from your accommodation in Tingo María. From there, we will proceed to the district of Mariano Dámaso Baeraúm, where the renowned Tingo María National Park lies, a vast expanse of protected nature that we will skirt until reaching the Gloriapata Waterfall.

Accessing this enchanting location involves crossing a suspension bridge on the park's right edge, followed by a 45-minute trek through the jungle. During this hike, you will glimpse the Tres de Mayo micro-watershed, a natural formation that collects rainwater, sustaining various species of this ecosystem, including orchids, medicinal plants, vibrant birds, and butterflies.

After concluding the hike, the pinnacle of our day awaits: the stunning 25-meter high waterfall, encircled by a vast pool of crystal-clear water, inviting you for a refreshing swim post-hike.

You'll have the opportunity to unwind and explore this pristine area at your leisure. Additionally, you can engage in bird watching nearby the waterfall. With a bit of luck, you might spot parrots and Andean cock-of-the-rocks, especially as the sun sets.

Eventually, we will make our way back to the minibus to return to Tingo María, with an anticipated arrival at your hotel around 2 pm.
