We’ll pick you up at 8:00 am from your accommodation in Tingo Maria to travel to Huayna Capac, home of the Sacred Mantle cave.

After a half-hour drive, we will arrive and begin a 25-minute hike into the Peruvian jungle. At the trek's end, we will reach the Sacred Mantle Cave, a karst cave formed millions of years ago.

We’ll prepare for the expedition, equipping ourselves with helmets and torches. We will then enter the cave's labyrinths of stalactites and stalagmites and explore its underground lagoons, appreciating rock formations of various sizes and shapes, including the cathedral.

Our adventure continues as we descend to a depth of 350 metres, where we will find the underground waterfall of the Sacred Mantle. The water plunges down a 15-metre drop into the Tragadero del Misterio (Mystery Gully).

We’ll stop for you to enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to the surface. After emerging, we will walk to Huayna Capac, where transport will be ready to take you back to your hotels in Tingo Maria, with an estimated arrival time of around 5:00 pm.
