We’ll pick you up at 8:00 am at your accommodation in Tingo Maria to go to Huayna Capac, the location of the Sacred Mantle cave.

After a 30-minute drive, we will arrive and embark on a 25-minute hike into the Peruvian jungle. At the end of this trek, we will reach the Sacred Mantle Cave, a karst cave formed millions of years ago.

We’ll prepare for the expedition with helmets and torches. We’ll then explore the labyrinths of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as underground lagoons, appreciating various rock formations.

Our adventure continues as we descend to a depth of 350 metres, reaching the underground waterfall of the Sacred Mantle, which plunges down a 15-metre drop into the Tragadero del Misterio (Mystery Gully).

We’ll have a stop along the way for a lunch break with your picnic, and then we will return to the surface. Once outside, we will walk to Huayna Capac, where transport will take you back to your hotels in Tingo Maria, arriving around 5:00 pm.
