Your journey begins with a pick-up at 8:00 am from your lodging in Tingo Maria, followed by a journey to Huayna Capac, home to the renowned Sacred Mantle Cave.

After a scenic half-hour drive, we will reach our destination and set off on a 25-minute hike through the lush Peruvian jungle. This trek leads us to the remarkable Sacred Mantle Cave, a karst formation that has been developing for millions of years.

Upon arrival, we will prepare for our expedition by equipping ourselves with helmets and headlamps. Once ready, we will delve into the cave’s intriguing network of stalactites and stalagmites, as well as its hidden lagoons. Throughout our exploration, you'll witness various rock formations, including an impressive structure known as the cathedral.

Our adventure progresses as we descend to a depth of 350 metres, where we will discover the breathtaking underground waterfall of the Sacred Mantle. Water cascades down a dramatic 15-metre drop, disappearing through a passage called the Tragadero del Misterio (Mystery Gully). What mysteries lie within this intriguingly named area?

During our journey, a lunch break will be provided for you to enjoy your picnic. Afterward, we will retrace our steps back to the surface. Once outside, we will make our way to Huayna Capac, where our transportation awaits to return you to your accommodations in Tingo Maria. We expect to arrive around 5:00 pm.
