Venture into the Amazon rainforest and explore its dense vegetation on our day trip to the Ugarteche River basin. You'll see incredible natural treasures such as Neptune Falls as we walk through this beautiful area.

Ugarteche River Basin Day Trip

We will pick you up from your accommodation in Tingo María for a 30-minute journey to the district of Hermilio Valdizán.

The Ugarteche River is located in eastern Peru, surrounded by its basin's lush vegetation and freshwater springs.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a 1-hour walk through the jungle to explore the Ugarteche River basin. During the walk, we will observe various species of flora and fauna and learn about tropical crops and biodiversity in the Amazon rainforest.

We will encounter waterfalls and natural pools, including Neptune Falls, where you can rest and take a swim after the hike.

After this refreshing break, we will head back to the jungle's edge, where the bus will be waiting. We will return to Tingo María, dropping you off at your hotel by 3 pm.
