Venture into the Amazon rainforest and explore its dense vegetation on our day trip to the Ugarteche River basin. You'll see incredible natural treasures such as Neptune Falls as we walk through this beautiful area.

Ugarteche River Basin Day Trip

After picking you up from your accommodation in Tingo María, we will begin a 30-minute journey to the district of Hermilio Valdizán.

The Ugarteche River is located in this region of eastern Peru, surrounded by a lush landscape and freshwater springs.

Upon arrival, we will embark on a 1-hour walk through the jungle to explore the Ugarteche River basin. During this walk, we will note various species of flora and fauna and learn about different tropical crops and biodiversity in this area of the Amazon rainforest.

As we explore, we will encounter waterfalls and natural pools, including Neptune Falls. We will stop here to allow you to rest and take a refreshing swim after our hike.

After relaxing in this natural area, we will return to the jungle's edge, where the bus will be awaiting us. We will return to Tingo María and drop you off at your hotel by 3 pm.
