On this boat trip in the Cienfuegos Bay, we'll sail to the Castle of Jagua, one of the best-preserved fortresses in Cuba.
Description
Cienfuegos exists thanks to its bay. On this journey, we'll learn about this fascinating city from the water. We'll meet at the Muelle Real port to begin our adventure. All aboard!
We'll board a traditional boat and cruise around the bay, which connects to the Caribbean Sea through a narrow channel.
During the trip, we'll pass by cays and islets and make several stops for swimming. We'll also visit the local church in the fishing settlement of El Perché and have the option to take a break at some local restaurants overlooking the sea for lunch.
Expect to enjoy Cuban music and learn interesting facts about the history and biodiversity of Cienfuegos.
The boat will anchor at the pier of Punta Majagua for you to visit the Castillo de Jagua. You'll have free time to explore this monument, built by Ferdinand V to protect against pirate attacks.
Finally, we'll regroup and sail back after 6 hours of activity.
