On this boat trip in the Cienfuegos Bay, we'll sail to the Castle of Jagua, one of the best-preserved fortresses in Cuba.
Description
Cienfuegos exists thanks to its bay. This boat trip allows us to learn about this fascinating city from the water. We'll meet at the Muelle Real port to begin our adventure. All aboard!
We'll board a traditional boat and cruise around the bay, which flows into the Caribbean Sea through a long, narrow channel.
During the trip, we'll pass by cays and islets and make several stops for swimming. We can break at the local church in the fishing settlement of El Perché, and visit local restaurants overlooking the sea where you can enjoy lunch.
You will also experience Cuban music and learn about the history and biodiversity of Cienfuegos.
The boat will anchor at Punta Majagua for you to visit the Castillo de Jagua, a monument erected by Ferdinand V to protect against pirate and corsair attacks. You'll have free time to explore this historical site.
Finally, we'll regroup and sail back to the starting point, completing the trip after 6 hours of activity.
