Botanical Garden Highlights

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel to commence ourday trip to the Cienfuegos Botanical Garden. Located a short 20 minutes from the city center, this garden is one of the oldest and most significant in Cuba.

Upon arrival, we'll walk through the 94 hectares (232 acres) of the Cienfuegos Botanical Garden. During our exploration, we will encounterover 2,000 species of trees, including23 varieties of bamboo and 150 diverse types of palms.

The garden's history dates back to thelate 19th century whenentrepreneur Edwin F. Atkins from the United States acquired theold sugar mill to enhance botanical research on sugar cane.

We will also explore a diverse range ofplants from all corners of the globe found in the Cienfuegos Botanical Garden. The tour will conclude with a return to your hotel, wrapping up a 3-hour journey.
