Bring out your adventurous side and admire an incredible protected natural area on our Via Ferrata in the Almadenes Gorge. Deep ravines, steep walls, waterfalls and gravity-defying bridges await!
Via Ferrata in the Almadenes Gorge
At 9 am, we'll meet at the Almadenes Visitor Centre, a 20-minute drive from Cieza. We'll equip ourselves with helmets, harnesses, and other necessary gear to prepare for the via ferrata.
A brief 10-minute walk will lead us to the start of the via ferrata, situated in the final stretch of the Almadenes Gorge. Prior to the activity, we will review essential safety regulations that must be followed.
We will navigate a route with clamps and fixed ropes, maneuvering around faults and steep walls reaching approximately 330 feet (100 metres) high. Participants will enjoy views of the Almadenes Gorge and the Quípar River.
Along the route, we will pass the Almadenes hydroelectric power station, view the waterfall of the La Higuera Ravine, and test our skills as we cross a monkey bridge consisting of just three cables.
After a 2-hour 30-minute adventure, we will conclude at the starting point.
