Via Ferrata in the Almadenes Gorge



We will gather at the Almadenes Visitor Centre at 9 am, conveniently located just a short 20-minute drive from Cieza. Once there, we'll equip ourselves with helmets, harnesses, and any additional gear needed as we prepare to embark on our via ferrata adventure in the Almadenes Gorge.



A brief 10-minute walk will lead us to the starting point of the via ferrata, positioned in the final section of the Almadenes Gorge. Prior to beginning our exploration of this protected natural area, we will go over essential safety protocols that you must adhere to throughout the excursion.



It's time to dive in! We’ll navigate a path featuring clamps and fixed ropes, maneuvering around steep cliffs and fault lines that soar up to approximately 330 feet (100 metres). Get ready to be captivated by stunning vistas overlooking the Almadenes Gorge and the flowing Quípar River.



As our adventure progresses along the via ferrata, we will reach the Almadenes hydroelectric power station, marvel at the enchanting waterfall in the La Higuera Ravine, and challenge ourselves by crossing a monkey bridge consisting of just three cables.



After approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes of excitement, we'll conclude our journey and bid farewell at the starting point.
