Kruger National Park 4-Day Safari

On this 4-day safari around Kruger National Park, we will tour the savannah in search of animals such as lions, elephants, and zebras.

Description

Day 1: Johannesburg - Hazyview

We will collect you from the airport or your hotel in Johannesburg and travel northeast for about 4 hours to a lodge in Hazyview. After a light lunch, you can rest before an evening visit to watch the sunset over Kruger National Park, followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview

We'll start early for a sunrise safari in Kruger National Park, aiming to spot the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and elephants. A picnic-style breakfast will be provided. After a second safari, you can go for a swim and purchase lunch at your own expense before returning to the lodge for the day.

Day 3: Hazyview - Drakensberg - Hazyview

After breakfast, we will tour the outskirts of the Drakensberg mountains, stopping at God's Window Viewpoint, Bourke's Luck Potholes, and Lisbon Falls. Lunch will be in the town of Graskop before returning to the lodge.

Day 4: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview - Johannesburg

We will depart early for another sunrise safari. After breakfast, we will return to the lodge, collect luggage, and travel back to the airport in Johannesburg, arriving around 5 or 6 pm.

Accommodation

This safari includes 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast at the Umbhaba Eco Lodge (3 stars), with prices per person in a double bedroom.

Flights and Transfers

Flights to Johannesburg should arrive by 5 am on day one. Pickup from O.R Tambo International Airport occurs between 6:30 am and 7:15 am. We recommend booking accommodation in Johannesburg for the night prior. On the last day, return to Johannesburg is around 5:30 pm - 6 pm, with drop-off available for flights no earlier than 8 pm for national or 9 pm for international flights.
