Kruger National Park 4-Day Safari

On this 4-day safari around Kruger National Park, we will explore the savannah in search of lions, elephants, zebras, and other wildlife.

Description

Day 1: Johannesburg - Hazyview

We will collect you from Johannesburg at the scheduled time, either from the airport or your hotel, and travel northeast towards Hazyview, near the Mozambique border. This approximately 4-hour journey leads us to a lodge, where a light lunch will be provided. After resting, we'll enjoy a sunset over Kruger National Park, followed by dinner at the lodge.

Day 2: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview

We will start the day early with a sunrise safari around Kruger National Park, focusing on spotting the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, buffalos, and elephants. This 2-hour safari concludes at a rest area for a picnic-style breakfast. We will then continue the safari, ending with a stop for lunch at your expense, before returning to the lodge to relax.

Day 3: Hazyview - Drakensberg - Hazyview

After breakfast, we will tour the Drakensberg mountains, starting at God's Window Viewpoint. Next, we visit Bourke's Luck Potholes and Lisbon Falls. Lunch will be available in the town of Graskop, followed by a return to the lodge for the day.

Day 4: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview - Johannesburg

We will depart early for another sunrise safari around Kruger National Park. After completing the safari, we will have breakfast and return to the lodge to collect our luggage, commencing our journey back to the airport in Johannesburg, expected to arrive by around 5 or 6 pm.

Accommodation

This safari includes 3 nights of accommodation with breakfast at Umbhaba Eco Lodge (3 stars) or a similar class hotel, with prices based on a double bedroom.

Flights and Transfers

On the first day, pickup from O.R Tambo International Airport occurs between 6:30 am and 7:15 am. Your flight into Johannesburg should arrive no later than 5 am. We recommend arranging accommodation in Johannesburg for the night prior. For transfers to hotels within 5km (3.1 miles) of the airport, we can collect you between 6:30 am and 6:45 am. On the last day, we will arrive in Johannesburg around 5:30 pm - 6 pm, with drop-off options for hotels within 5km of the airport to accommodate evening flights.
