Tour Highlights

Day 1: Johannesburg - Hazyview

Welcome to South Africa! We'll pick you up at Johannesburg Airport or your hotel and head northeast. After about four hours on the road, we'll arrive at a lodge in Hazyview. Drop off your bags, grab a light lunch, and rest if you'd like. As the sun sets, we'll head into the wilderness area of Kruger National Park to catch a sunset. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge follow.

Day 2: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview

We'll start early for an unforgettable sunrise safari aiming to spot the Big Five: lions, leopards, rhinos, buffaloes, and elephants. After three hours, we will enjoy a picnic breakfast before continuing our exploration of Kruger. After a lunch break, you'll have the afternoon to relax by the swimming pool. Dinner is included.

Day 3: Hazyview - Drakensberg Mountains - Hazyview

After breakfast, we'll tour the Drakensberg Mountains, stopping at God's Window viewpoint and Bourke's Luck Potholes. We'll visit Lisbon Falls and the town of Graskop for lunch. The afternoon is free to unwind at the lodge. Dinner is included.

Day 4: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview

After breakfast, we'll embark on a new safari through Kruger Park. Return to the lodge for light lunch, and enjoy the afternoon free until dinner.

Day 5: Hazyview - Kruger Park - Hazyview - Johannesburg

Early morning for a final sunrise safari in Kruger Park, followed by a picnic breakfast. We'll return to the lodge to collect luggage and head back to Johannesburg Airport, arriving between 5 pm and 6 pm.

Accommodation

This safari includes four nights at the Umbhaba Eco Lodge (3-star) or a similar hotel with breakfast. Prices are per person in a double room.

Flight and Transfer Details

Flight arrangements should allow arrival by 5 am on the first day for pickup at Johannesburg O.R. Tambo International Airport at the Shuttle and Bus Terminal between 6:30 am and 7 am. Depart for Hazyview at 7:15 am. On the last day, arrival in Johannesburg is planned between 5:30 pm and 6 pm. If departing from the airport on this day, avoid scheduling domestic flights before 8 pm or international flights before 9 pm.
