Pretoria Day Trip
Your adventure begins with a convenient pickup from your hotel at 9:30 am, where you will journey to Pretoria, famously nicknamed the Jacaranda City due to its abundant Jacaranda trees lining the parks.
The initial destination will be the Voortrekker Monument, recognized as a South African National Heritage Site. Here, you will delve into the rich history surrounding the Afrikaner people, including the Great Trek and the significant Battle of Blood River.
Following this, you will have half an hour to enjoy lunch at your leisure. Next, the tour proceeds to Church Square, located in the vibrant core of Pretoria. Here, you will encounter iconic structures such as the Palace of Justice and the Raadsaal, which formerly served as the Parliament of the Republic of South Africa.
Our journey continues to the Union Buildings, the current administrative headquarters of the government. Here, you will see an impressive 9-meter tall sculpture of Nelson Mandela, the largest of its kind in the world!
