Itaipu Dam Sightseeing Tour

Our journey begins with your hotel pickup in Foz do Iguaçu, between 7:40 and 9 am. We will then proceed to the Itaipu Hydroelectric Dam, a crucial joint venture between Paraguay and Brazil, where an engaging sightseeing experience awaits.

Upon arrival, a 10-minute video presentation at the visitor center will introduce you to the history and scale of this monumental structure. You will then board a double-decker bus featuring an open top, ideal for sightseeing during our hour-long tour, which includes up to 3 stops for photography opportunities.

Our first stop will be at the Spillway viewpoint, offering breathtaking views of the dam's continuous water cascade. As we proceed, the route takes us alongside a 640-foot (196-metre) high wall, surrounded by the lush subtropical forest of Itaipu and leading us to the border with Paraguay.

After wrapping up this enriching exploration of one of the world’s engineering marvels, we will return you to your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu by approximately 11:40 am.

Tour without Pickup

Alternatively, you may opt for the sightseeing tour without included transportation. In this case, you will need to reach the meeting point located on Avenida Tancredo Neves. The tour lasts an hour and a half and is available every half hour from 8:30 am to 5 pm.
