Trip Details
Pickup from your hotel in Foz do Iguaçu will occur between 7 am and 7:30 am, followed by travel to the Argentine province of Misiones. The first stop is the Wanda mines, located approximately 60 kilometers away, which are known for semi-precious stones such as quartz, amethyst, topaz, and agates, utilized in local jewelry. This site is significant for its historical and geological value.
After the mines, we will visit the Jesuit ruins of San Ignacio de Miní, one of the most well-preserved missions in Argentina. The history of the Jesuit Roque González Santa Cruz, who founded the mission in the 17th century, will be discussed. There will be free time for lunch in San Ignacio before departing back to Foz do Iguaçu, with arrival expected between 6 pm and 7 pm.
