Visit an archaeological site, an indigenous village, and a hot spring with this trip to Tamtoc and Taninul from Ciudad Valles.

Tamtoc and Taninul Trip

We'll pick you up from your accommodation in Ciudad Valles and drive through the state of San Luis Potosi for about 40 minutes to Tamuín.

First, we will stop at the archaeological site of Tamtoc, the most important settlement in the region, to learn about the Huastecan culture, descendants of the Mayas. We will walk among the vestiges and mounds to understand the way of life of the first indigenous people who inhabited the area.

Afterward, we will continue for about 40 minutes to Taninul, a hotel with a thermal spa. Here, we will enjoy an energy bar and iced tea, followed by 2 hours of relaxation in the thermosulfuric waters of the spring. Additional options include exfoliating with mud and availing a complete beauty treatment.

Finally, we will have a traditional lunch at the Taninul hotel, consisting of a drink and a traditional dish. We will then return to Ciudad Valles, arriving by 5 pm where the adventure concludes.
