What to expect?
We will pick you up at your hotel at 9 am and depart towards the Tampaón River. Upon arrival, the guide will provide a brief explanation on how to paddle upstream.
After the lesson, we will board traditional pangas, wooden canoes. We will navigate the calm turquoise waters of the Tampaón River. The stunning Tamul Waterfall, rising 345 feet, will be a highlight. This is the largest waterfall in San Luis Potosi.
Next, we will continue rowing upstream, making a stop to explore the Cueva del Agua (Cave of Water), also known as the sunken Cenote Huasteco, featuring crystal clear waters reaching a depth of 80 feet.
After enjoying the natural pool, we'll paddle back to the Tampaón Riverbank and then head to a local restaurant for a traditional lunch and a drink.
We will return to Ciudad Valles by 6 pm and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding the excursion.
