Ciudad Valles is synonymous with adventure. Discover it from a canoe, while admiring the biggest waterfall in San Luis Potosi and bathing in a sunken cenote, like a true explorer!

What to Expect?

We will pick you up at your hotel at the indicated time and leave Ciudad Valles behind in the direction of the Tampaón River. Once we are on the shore, the guide will give us a brief explanation on how to paddle upstream.

With the lesson learned, we will climb into the so-called pangas, the traditional wooden canoes of the area. With paddles in hand, we will navigate through the calm turquoise waters of the Tampaón River. Between high rocky walls and hanging gardens, we will only have to raise our eyes to discover the imposing Tamul Waterfall. From the pangas, we'll see how the waterfalls rise up 345 feet high - the largest in the state of San Luis Potosi!

Afterward, we'll continue rowing upstream. We'll make a stop on the way to explore the Cueva del Agua (Cave of Water), also known as the sunken Cenote Huasteco. This enchanting cavern will delight you with its crystal clear waters which reach a depth of 80 feet.

After relaxing in the natural pool of the Cave, we'll paddle back to the Tampaón Riverbank. From there we'll go to a local restaurant, where we'll recover our strength with a traditional lunch and a drink.

Finally, we'll make our way back to your hotel in Ciudad Valles where we'll conclude this 9 hour trip.
