Two of the most mysterious places in the Lazio region await you on this excursion to Civita di Bagnoregio and the Gardens of Bomarzo. Walk through "the dying city" and discover curious sculptures at the Park of the Monsters!

Civita di Bagnoregio & Park of the Monsters Excursion

This tour includes pickup from your hotel or the cruise port of Civitavecchia, traveling by minibus to the small town of Civita di Bagnoregio, about an hour and a half away. To reach the historic center of this village, you must cross a footbridge, the only access point.

During a guided tour lasting two and a half hours, you will explore this Italian town, admire Renaissance buildings, and view the exterior of the Romanesque Church of San Donato, while learning why it is called "the dying city." A break will be made for a picnic that includes a starter, a pizza or pasta dish, water, and coffee.

Next, the excursion continues to the Gardens of Bomarzo, known as the Park of the Monsters. You will spend an hour and a half learning about this 16th-century creation by Vicino Orsini, featuring hundreds of enigmatic sculptures and fountains amidst lush vegetation.

At the end of the excursion, you will be returned to your hotel, arriving at 6 pm.
