Civita di Bagnoregio & Park of the Monsters Excursion
After picking you up at your hotel or the cruise port of Civitavecchia, we'll travel by minibus to Civita di Bagnoregio, about an hour and a half away.
This town, perched on top of a mountain, is accessed by crossing a footbridge. As we cross, we'll enjoy views of the surrounding valleys and hills.
For two and a half hours, we'll take you on a guided tour of this town, admiring Renaissance buildings and the exterior of the Romanesque Church of San Donato, while revealing why this place is dubbed "the dying city."
Before returning to the minibus, we'll take a break for a picnic consisting of a starter, a pizza or pasta dish, water, and coffee.
Next, we'll head to the Gardens of Bomarzo, known as the Park of the Monsters. For an hour and a half, we'll explore this site created in the 16th century by Vicino Orsini, featuring enigmatic sculptures, fountains, and abundant vegetation.
At the end of the excursion, we'll return you to your hotel, arriving at 6 pm.
